Event Overview

Maintenance and Reliability professionals often complain of the lack of respect they get from other professionals in manufacturing processes and facilities. Many of these professions in finance, manufacturing and human resources have their own professional certifications. Certifications are a standard against which personal competency can be evaluated. Standards are another area that is often cited as lacking in the maintenance and reliability profession. Participating in this certification effort will definitely advance the maintenance and reliability profession toward the status it deserves. The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) was formed and chartered in 1992 as a non-profit organization devoted to promoting and advancing the knowledge and application of maintenance and reliability. SMRP determined that it could meet an important obligation to maintenance and reliability professionals by recognizing those individuals who have attained a high degree of proficiency in the field. Successfully passing the examination entitles the examinee to be a CMRP. The goal is to have a CMRP in every plant around the world.

Benefits of Attending

This five day workshop is to provide an in depth look at Reliability Engineering principles, methods and applications focused towards Maintenance & Reliability Excellence. Participants will gain further understanding of various facets of Reliability Engineering from failure forecasting, failure identification, EHS & operational risks to maintenance optimization with the help of useful examples included in each subject area (SMRP Five Pillars):

  • Business & Management

  • Manufacturing Process Reliability

  • Equipment Reliability

  • People Skills

  • Work Management

At the completion of this course, students will have the necessary skills to continue their development as experienced reliability practitioners.

Attendees of this Workshop will have the opportunity to sit the CMRP Exam scheduled on the 5th Day. Successfully passing the examination entitles the examinee to be designated as a “Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional” (CMRP).
